INT. TRISTAN’S BEDROOM – PRESENT DAY

ABIGAIL continues to narrate her part of the story.

ABIGAIL

From this point, things get, mildly put, a bit weird. And no, we weren’t ready for it. But then again, who is?

TRISTAN (V.O)

Um…crazy people?

ABIGAIL

Okayy…

INT. THE MEETING ROOM

The three suddenly hear loud pounding on the door, and suddenly MARIE-GRACE stood up, looking completely frightened.

MARIE-GRACE (murmuring)

Impossible. They couldn’t have come here without going through the glowing entrance…

ABIGAIL

Mrs. Doven, what’s going on?

MARIE-GRACE gave the branch to TRISTAN, slammed the table with her fist, and the mugs had gone to the edge of the table, forming a triangle. A line went through the triangle, cutting it in half. The two halves separated like opening train doors, and revealed two large, leather satchels.

MARIE-GRACE

There’s no time. Both of you must leave right now, no questions asked.

TRISTAN

WAIT! I don’t understand!

The pounding on the door becomes faster, and the sheathing of swords can be heard. The FIRST SOLDIER (22), a male gruff soldier yells to the people inside.

FIRST SOLDIER

Open the door in the name of Victoria, the Queen of Hoventia!!!

MARIE-GRACE held TRISTAN’s shoulders and looked at the two teens.

MARIE-GRACE

Go. Both of you, and take care of each other. Don’t separate from each other, and follow the white fox!

ABIGAIL grabbed the two satchels with one hand so forcefully that the table fell down, and the coffee was spilled to the floor. She grabbed TRISTAN, as they ran and disappeared through the glowing entrance. MARIE-GRACE looks back only to see her door broken to bits and soldiers charged into the room. FIRST SOLDIER came in front and pointed his spear at MARIE-GRACE.

FIRST SOLDIER

Ma’am, have you seen two adolescents? One boy, one girl. Have you seen them?

MARIE-GRACE (Lying in a calm and polite tone)

No. No, I haven’t seen them anywhere.

FIRST SOLDIER

Then why do you have a glowing entrance? Did they go through that entrance?

MARIE-GRACE cocked her head, as if she doesn’t know what the FIRST SOLDIER is talking about. The glowing entrance then fades away completely to the point, there was no evidence it existed. MARIE-GRACE looks back, and sees it’s gone, smiles and looks back at the FIRST SOLDIER.

 MARIE-GRACE

I don’t see any glowing entrance at all.

FIRST SOLDIER (embarrassed)

I’m sorry, ma’am. Must be, uh, seeing things.

FIRST SOLDIER then gives her a pouch of money.

FIRST SOLDIER

For the doors.

MARIE-GRACE nods, as she understands. FIRST SOLDIER signals his army to leave the house. The army marches neatly and out of sight. Suddenly, evil cackling filled the rooms, and all the candle flames disappeared, leaving tiny puffs of smoke. The only light came from the foyer. MARIE-GRACE looks back, filled with knowledge and a hint of dread.

MARIE-GRACE

Victoria, I should’ve known.

VICTORIA (ageless), a beautiful enchantress in a formal black dress, emerges from the shadows with a smug smile. She circles MARIE-GRACE, looking for weaknesses.

VICTORIA

You seriously must’ve thought that the two teenagers can get away from these soldiers. Didn’t you? How you acted: Very impressive, I admit. Very impressive.

VICTORIA stops at the front of MARIE-GRACE, and saw that MARIE-GRACE hadn’t uttered a word.

VICTORIA

What happened? Cat got your tongue?

MARIE-GRACE stays calm and silent. Victoria gets bored.

VICTORIA

Fine, play your game. But, so you will know…

VICTORIA goes to the left of MARIE-GRACE and leans close to her to whisper to her ear.

VICTORIA (whispering loudly)

I will find the boy, and he will belong to me.

VICTORIA steps away, and MARIE-GRACE is being tied up by intricate twirling dark vines. She struggles to be free but vines are too strong. She then collapses to the ground, and MARIE-GRACE disappears, leaving a layer of fine purple sparks.

INT. A FOREST – AFTERNOON

In front of a tree, a glowing portal appeared, and ABIGAIL and TRISTAN burst out of it, and land lying on the ground. The portal disappears, having them stuck there. TRISTAN, who landed on top of ABIGAIL, stood up, and looked for the branch and found it, with all the water spilling out of the otherwise unharmed bottle. He picked the bottle, while making sure the branch stays inside and sighed.

TRISTAN

Alright. Now we must find the white fox

ABIGAIL (already sick)

Whoever that is. Tristan, what if you’re grandma was wrong about the whole thing? I mean, I know that she must be wise or something, but, who knows? Besides, I bet she didn’t tell you about Hoventia until now.

TRISTAN (holding the bottle)

True, but why did you sign up for this in the first place if you’re already doubting her? I thought you were in for this.

ABIGAIL

Look, I don’t know, okay. I didn’t start doubting things until we went to that portal.

TRISTAN (looks at the tree behind them)

Well. It’s too late to turn back.

ABIGAIL (also looking at the tree)

Unfortunately. Now where’s the white fox?

Suddenly, they hear a loud CRUNCH! TRISTAN, suddenly alert, grabs one of the satchels that ABIGAIL held on to, looking around for who might be close. ABIGAIL looks ready to speak, but TRISTAN puts her hand over her mouth to shut her up. ABIGAIL is surprised by this, but then they heard another CRUNCH! ABIGAIL then grabbed another satchel from the ground. Then, TRISTAN releases his hand from her mouth. Suddenly,  they hear a menacing growl, and see a large figure of a wolf. The two become incredibly scared.

TRISTAN (scared to death)

RUUUNN!!!

The two sprint away, as they hear the wolf chasing them. None of them ever think of looking back. Then, ABIGAIL trips on a tree root, slowing them down.

TRISTAN (frightened)

Come on, Abigail!

ABIGAIL looks back and sees that figure growling, creeping closer to them. ABIGAIL struggles to get up, but her movements are sluggish. Then the wolf lunges at her, seemingly for the kill. ABIGAIL screams. But the wolf, which turned out to be DEXTER (adult male), an albino fox, landed in front of her and laughed, a friendly laugh.

DEXTER (with a British accent, as he would have in the rest of the film)

Oh, you people are quite barmy, really. Seriously, your creative drama never grows old.

TRISTAN (wide-eyed and shocked)

You…you…

DEXTER(who is used to scared/surprised reactions)

Yes, I, Dexter, am a talking British albino fox. Who had been taken to this lovely country of Hoventia, and I take it that you two are Americans.

INT. TRISTAN’S BEDROOM – PRESENT DAY

TRISTAN continues to narrate while ABIGAIL is a few feet away, watching it all, and was just done being on the phone.

TRISTAN (trying to swallow the fact)

Okay. A talking albino fox. British, no less. I guess I should’ve been warned, but it’s not like I’d believe whoever would. Right?

ABIGAIL

Oh, and Dexter just called me.

TRISTAN looks back at ABIGAIL to know about it.

TRISTAN

Really? How was he able to call?

ABIGAIL

He bought an iPhone in Hoventia. At least that’s what he said. But to me, he might’ve just stolen it.

TRISTAN (joking)

Does he need something returned?

ABIGAIL (laughing a bit)

Nope, he wants to narrate his own part of the story, and he’s already at the entrance.

TRISTAN gets up from his chair, and goes out the door.

TRISTAN (as he was leaving)

I’m gonna see what this is about. Abigail, you can continue.

After TRISTAN leaves, ABIGAIL walks towards the chair, sits down, and starts narrating her part.

ABIGAIL

Okay, before Dexter arrives, where were we?

INT. A FOREST – AFTERNOON

ABIGAIL is getting up, and brushing away some dead leaves. And she takes a look at DEXTER, and shock enveloped her face.

ABIGAIL

You’re…you’re that white fox Mrs. Doven was talking about!

DEXTER (nodding)

‘Course I am, though I’m not chuffed about your bickering the first minute you arrived here. Seriously, you two yip as badly as my brothers when fighting over fresh meat. And I didn’t quite catch your names.

TRISTAN (curious)

My name is Tristan, and she’s Abigail…And you knew my grandmother?

DEXTER

Mm-hmm. Marie-Grace, was surprisingly graceful and lively at the same time. Yet, she can be serious and hard-driven. She had visited here ever since she was ten. How is she?

TRISTAN

She’s great, last time I checked. I didn’t know she went here.

DEXTER

Yeah. Well, any road, as your guide, let’s move along.

TRISTAN and  ABIGAIL exchange looks and follow DEXTER through the forest.

TRISTAN

Where are we going?

DEXTER stops and they are at the edge of the forest, and they notice a city that is full of amazing skyscrapers, made of glass and steel. ABIGAIL and TRISTAN gape in awe as they notice them shimmer in front of the sunset.

DEXTER

That, my fellows, is where we are going. To the capital city of Hoventia. Davine-Argent.

EXT. THE GATES OF DAVINE-ARGENT

Two guards guard the entrance. When they saw the three approaching, jogging towards them, they aimed their guns at them, stopping the three. The LEFT GUARD (late sixties), a short-tempered looking, cold guard, began questioning them, wondering what was their purpose of wanting to enter.

LEFT GUARD

Who are you freaks, and what stupid reason you’ve got to enter the shining city of Davine-Argent?

TRISTAN (confused)

Freaks? We’re perfectly normal people, with an albino fox.

ABIGAIL (supporting TRISTAN)

Yeah, no worries, sirs. We are entering just to look around in the city.

LEFT GUARD (not buying it)

Sure thing, lassie. Like I was here to be tricked by a bunch of hungover, drugged up, gun-wielding, freaks like you. They say those words too, and you know the real reason they wanna come to this place? So they can trash the place and blacken it’s name! They do this with their jerk-off clothes, their dirty mouths, their powder of stupidity, and their mental-water that somehow would never leave the capital. So I say, go away, and STAY AWAY!!!

DEXTER (rather shocked, and pleading)

Please sir, we only want to enter —

LEFT GUARD (at his wits’ end)

— and I want to keep the great reputation of Davine-Argent! LEAVE!

DEXTER glumly gives up trying to convince the LEFT GUARD to let them in, and hangs his head down, like any sad dog would.

DEXTER (disappointed)

Come on, guys. I guess we’ll have to go to the next city.

The three turn back, with the LEFT GUARD watching their every move. Then the RIGHT GUARD (early twenties) an introverted, calm-under-fire guy, feels sorry for them.

RIGHT GUARD

Wait!

DEXTER and the two teens stop, confused. The LEFT GUARD didn’t understand RIGHT GUARD’s intentions.

LEFT GUARD (confused)

What’re you doing, mate? You’re gonna let the bad people in?

RIGHT GUARD (remaining confident and calm)

I got this.

DEXTER (suspicious)

Alright, you. What’s your game?

TRISTAN (suspicious)

Yeah. We just got kicked out!

RIGHT GUARD (focusing on ABIGAIL and TRISTAN)

If you want to come into the city of Davine-Argent, you must have a card, that glows any color-depending on how long you are willing to stay there —

LEFT GUARD

The cooler, temperature-wise, the color, the shorter the stay —

RIGHT GUARD

— and the verification, that you understand the rules and regulations of Davine-Argent. If you have the card, you can come in.

The two teens check their jean pockets only to find their cards shining green in their fingers from their right pockets. Both of them look at each other, each not knowing how they ended up there. The LEFT GUARD was shocked.

LEFT GUARD (shocked)

Holy cow! Why didn’t you show them earlier!

ABIGAIL (just as shocked)

We-we um,-didn’t —

DEXTER

Doesn’t matter. We’re in for a week.

The guards scan the cards with their scanners, and the gates automatically open.

RIGHT GUARD

Welcome to Davine-Argent. Beware of alcohol, people ripping you off, and look for the stunning hotels and fountains —

LEFT GUARD

And if you ever break a rule, I’m kickin’ you out!

TRISTAN (relieved)

Well understood.

INT. DAVINE-ARGENT-AFTERNOON

The trio enter in the gates and they see a bustling city with eclectic skyscrapers with jumbo screens with ads and lavish buildings and sights to see. People around are either in rich, or ordinary clothing. The three stare in awe as they walk around.

ABIGAIL

This is awesome. Who’s the mayor?

DEXTER

Mayor Wendy Rosen. But she’s busy, and so are we! Come on, time runs twice as fast here in Hoventia! And we can’t dilly-dally, we’ve got ingredients to find.

TRISTAN

Right.

The trio continue walking through, looking around as the signs remind them of the blue moon ceremony and the Amity potion.

TRISTAN

What are the ingredients to this Amity potion, anyway?

DEXTER

Simply five. 50 milliliters of water that is touched with moonlight, three leaves of a Pueri-Risum-which is a type of flower in Hoventia, 15 milliliters of molten Eternal Amber, twenty down feathers of a Firedust, a kind of Hoventian spirit who is mostly a bird, and a lover’s teardrop. It is bespoke, custom, to find these things and do it minutes before the blue moon appears.

ABIGAIL

That sounds hard to find.

DEXTER

That’s the thing. They are hidden so no one could easily find it-thus keeping it safe from hunters and other greedy people. Which is good, so people can live a normal life. And knowing the fact that people live past 50, it’s possible for them to see it.

ABIGAIL

Now we have to give it to Tristan so he actually reaches 50.

DEXTER

But we need to go somewhere to rest for the night.

ABIGAIL and TRISTAN looks up, and sees that it’s now dark.

ABIGAIL

Yeah.

TRISTAN (looking left)

Guys, I found a place.

ABIGAIL and DEXTER look in his direction and see a rustic, yet fancy place that said,” THE STAR HOTEL”. A lot of people are entering and sounds of great music and laughter and light chatting radiate from the place.

DEXTER

Looks great. Let’s go and avoid being bladdered.

The two teens stared at him, like What is he talking about? Dexter suddenly remembers they were Americans.

DEXTER

Bladdered, means drunk.

INT. THE STAR HOTEL – EVENING

The trio enter, and follow the noises to the dining room. It is as loud as the school cafeteria. People are eating, drinking, and  just being rowdy. An empty glass beer bottle is flung at TRISTAN, and he veers away in time to miss it.

TRISTAN

Whoa. Looks like someone having more than a good time.

DEXTER

Those arse-holes obsessed with beer are a common thing in Davine-Argent’s inns, unfortunately. Be watchful on what you eat and drink. It might have some drugs filled in them.

ABIGAIL

You know, we can just go and stay in some rooms and eat what we have. I’m sure Mrs. Doven had packed some food and drinks in these satchels.

Then DRUNK GUY (33) a stout hungover man, wheels in towards them, laughing in a wheeled chair.

DRUNK GUY (crazily happy)

ARRR YOU CRAHZEE?! JIZ ISH AH AWJOM PLICE WHERE YOU GET TO BE DRUNK!!! COMMON LEAVE A LEH-TOLE!!! I’VE GOT SOME PRETTY GIRLIES TO TANGO!!!

TRISTAN (politely)

Okay…

DRUNK GUY (looking at TRISTAN)

HEY YOU, YOUNG MAN!! HAVE YOU DRANK-EN ANY BOOZE IN YOUR LIFE?!!

TRISTAN (a little nervous)

No, I haven’t —

DRUNK GUY

RUBBISH!! I WAS GUZZLING SOME HEAVY BEER AROUND YOUR AGE? ARE YOU, LIKE FIFTEEN?!!

TRISTAN (remaining calm)

Sixteen, but —

ABIGAIL nudges TRISTAN, alerting his attention.

ABIGAIL

We have to leave, now!

INT. TRISTAN’S BEDROOM – PRESENT DAY

ABIGAIL brushes off a loose strand of hair off her face, and continues to narrate the story.

ABIGAIL

That’s when we realized that these people aren’t as friendly-while-drunk, as we thought. The experience made me swear, that I would never drink alcohol in my life.

INT. THE DINING ROOM OF STAR HOTEL – NIGHT

Suddenly, everyone stops and looks at the trio. ABIGAIL gets really nervous. The door leading out of the dining room, is blocked by a crowd of people. The surrounding people’s eyes glowed purple, indicating they were under VICTORIA’S spell.

TRISTAN

Dexter, what’s happening?

DEXTER (whispering)

They’re under Victoria’s spell! We should leave! This place isn’t safe now. Walk away, and maybe they won’t attack.

ABIGAIL and TRISTAN walk slowly to the door, while DEXTER walks backward, following them.

DRUNK GUY (suddenly not sounding drunk at all)

I never knew you were the one the queen was hunting ’till now.

DEXTER (struggling to remain calm)

Oh, you know they aren’t the ones you’re looking for. Surely they are just scared teenagers.

DRUNK GUY (glaring at DEXTER)

I didn’t ask you to talk, you bleached mutt.

DEXTER (angry)

BELT UP, you haggard! I knew something was anti-clockwise around here when your happy self came along! But I didn’t say anything about it, thinking probably it was just you.

ABIGAIL and TRISTAN continue to back up the door.

DRUNK GUY (getting a nearby empty glass beer bottle)

Don’t think I ain’t smart. If I capture them two strangers, alive or dead, she promised to give me one million sparks, which is equal to their 500 million dollars…but she won’t mind having the rare albino foxskin on her gowns.

ABIGAIL (trying to give sense to DRUNK GUY)

Okay, mister. You’re not thinking clearly, alright. Why don’t you just let us go, and you can continue your normal life, as if we didn’t come here.

DRUNK GUY (sadistically)

I would, but it won’t be any much fun.

DRUNK GUY looks at the possessed crowd, and they all looked at him, waiting for an order.

DRUNK GUY (pointing at ABIGAIL AND TRISTAN)

Kill that girl, and get the boy!

ABIGAIL (mad and picking up a nearby lamp)

You are not getting him at all!

The crowd lunges towards them, and ABIGAIL screams fearfully and threw the lamp at the ground causing a fire between the trio and the front crowd. TRISTAN punches a guy away as they begin fighting towards the entrance. ABIGAIL then, looks at DEXTER, grabs him, and threw him overhead, landing him on the DRUNK GUY, attacking him, making confusion on the crowd. The people began attacking each other, screeching, scratching, punching, cursing, etc. The ignored two gets through them to the entrance with much difficulty, but the door won’t budge open.

TRISTAN

Bullshit! Get this door open!

DEXTER darts off to ABIGAIL and gave her a worried glance.

DEXTER

Next time, warn me before catapulting me to a monster!

ABIGAIL (feeling scared and guilty)

I’m sorry! But we have to live through this bar night.

ABIGAIL then pushes TRISTAN, who was punching at the door, knowing what to do.

ABIGAIL

I got this.

ABIGAIL takes a few steps back, and then expertly kicks the door off it hinges. TRISTAN stares in shock.

TRISTAN

Who taught you that?

ABIGAIL (looking back at TRISTAN, grinning crazily)

I had karate, now let’s go!
